HuHot: Back to School Offers

I have fallen in love with HuHot thanks to my friend, Sherri, from work.  It looks like I might be frequenting them this month as there are a great coupons available on their Facebook page for kids' meals.  Kids 10 and under get a FREE Little Warriers meal with their coupon, and students over 10 will receive 50% off their grill meal with the back to school coupon.  Just click the coupon links on the left side of the HuHot Facebook page.

Never been to HuHot?  You should check it out!!  Here's a little bit about the restaurant and what you can expect:

"HuHot is a create-your-own stir fry concept that offers a wide variety of meats, seafood, noodles, fresh veggies, and signature sauces to suit your tastes. Select your favorite ingredients then have it cooked to perfection before your eyes on a 6-foot Mongolian grill that puts out 950,000 BTUs. With unlimited trips to the grill, you can create a different meal every time."

A Pinch of This, A Dollop of That

As you all know, I'm very passionate about coupons (and everything coupon related).  One thing that I seldom mention on this blog is my love for all things "frugal".  I'll do (almost) anything to save a buck.  I thought I'd start sharing some of my ideas, as well as those I've borrowed from others, with you.  Since I'm an avid crafter and do-it-yourselfer, I'll share some of the projects that I've done as well as tutorials so that you can do them with me.  Why pay for something that you can do or make yourself?  So, this blog will become a pinch of this (a few frugal living ideas), and a dollop of that (lots of coupon deals).

To get us started, I'd like to tell you about a really cool new website I learned about this week during our faculty inservice.  It's called Wordle - a FREE online word cloud maker.  What's this?  Well, the picture above is an example.  Type or past any text you'd like into the box on the Wordle website, and it will do the rest for you.  You can do some (simple) customization of color and layout if you'd like, as well.

What might you use this for?  Well, other than for some classroom activities, I plan to make some inexpensive art for my desk at work (and maybe for my mantel at home).  I'll print the Wordle that I've created, and put it in an inexpensive frame that I've probably purchased at the dollar store.  Art for $1...now that's a great deal!

Walmart: Inexpensive Napkins & Cups

Head here (use zip code 77477 if you can't find it in your zip) and print a coupon good for $0.75 off any Waverly paper plate, plastic cup, or napkin purchase at Walmart.  These are usually priced around $1.50...so $0.75 after coupons.  What a great deal!

Now is the time to stock up for future family get-togethers (the holidays are soon approaching) or parties.

I'm back...

The summer is winding down, school is once again starting, and that means more time for me.  As the days become shorter, I'm finding myself perusing the Internet for great deals and coupon offers in the evenings.  What does this mean for you, my dedicated (and patient) readers?  I will, once again, be online posting the best local deals that I can find.
I want to hear from you.  As we start a new "season" at Sioux Falls Savvy Saver, I want to strive to provide information that interests YOU!!  What do you want to see on a weekly basis?  What kinds of deals don't interest you?  Would you like me to include online deals/specials?
