Downtown Sioux Falls: FREE Things to Do and Some Coupons

Although I'm not interested in getting involved in any debates about issues in our local news, I will say that I really enjoy downtown right now...   Here are a few of my favorite things to do (Don't like to find parking?  Go here to find all the great places to park!):

*Falls Park - While some people may think it's overrated, I really enjoy visiting Falls Park.  It's a nice quiet (except for rushing water and the occasional train) place for a picnic, a walk, to take some cool pictures from the lookout, or just to be.  The best part?  My family enjoys it as much as I do, and it's FREE!

*Downtown Trolley - When we go to the falls, we sometimes like to get picked up there by the FREE trolley, and ride it to our favorite downtown stores.  When we're done looking around, we ride the trolley (for FREE) back to our car at Falls Park.  The kiddos love it!

*Sculpture Walk - Check out information here.  I've never done the walk, but think I will this summer!

*Museum of Visual Materials - a neat place to visit.  Go here for more information.

*Old Courthouse Museum - This is one of my daughter's favorite places.  They have a wide variety of hands on exhibits (she can actually touch stuff here!!).  They also have tons of FREE activities throughout the year.  Admission to the museum is always FREE.  A definite must see for any downtown visit!  Go here for more details...

*Downtown Savings Pass - Go here to find discounts to some downtown stores.  Just print the brochure and bring it with you!

*Moonlight Movies - FREE movies at dusk on Saturdays at Fawick Park (2nd Ave. between 10th and 11th St. near the Statue of David).  Go here to see what's playing and to get more information.

*Summer Plaza Concert Series at Old Courthouse Museum - FREE outdoor concerts every Friday this summer from Noon-1pm.  Go here to see who's playing and for more information.

*Story Time Tuesdays - Head to Child Play Toys on Tuesday mornings from 10-11 for story hour.  They'll sing a few songs, read a toddler book and a "big kid book" and sing a few more songs.  Sounds like a lot of fun.  We'll be headed there this summer!!
